Yaksha, book review

by MeeraMayaa

“What is” or “who is” Yaksha?
This was the question Archana Mohan had asked on the #KahaaniBox library inauguration day.

Loads of answers poured in and we realised how we missed the Superhero from our own soil, which has the soul of traditions and today left only in the library books and hearsays..

This book can be a stepping stone to bring the tradition and let the current generation know about,
“Yakshagana,” an art form from coastal karanataka.

Beautiful is not only the word,
I would say, this book breathes our tradition and connects us to the roots.

Children who played the role of Abhimanyu and Subhadra from Mahabharata, trained by Ms.Priyanka Mohan of YakshaDegula, Bangalore

Though a 6-10 age group, I feel even to a 4+ this book can be good read because the pictures /illustrations will leave a mark in their mind….

@Archana Mohan, The author of Yaksha book and Priyanka K Mohan (YakshaDegula)
Thanks for bringing this art in words and uplifting
