And am still wishing you will read

by MeeraMayaa

And am still wishing you will read
I ran to the pillar and pole
And I ran in those races as well
I enjoyed you travelling on my back
That space I would never share with anyone
I whispered, I love you to the moon and back.
I thought you heard me,
Only to place a bet on me
I left a note, pleading please don’t
as am carrying a part of me within
believing you will hear,
Only to place a bet on her as well.
Now we both are pleading
And am still wishing you will read****Written for #ArtoonsInnPoetryParlour #Poattic

Good evening ma’am! Just saw your new post!

Actually, I was a little confused about the theme of the poem…if you could elaborate on that….

Definitely.
I will share the picture prompt and probably you can connect

It’s about the horse speaking her mind to her owner
